Our Story
AppleGate Florals was borne out of a hobby that became a way of life. I grew up with a grandmother who gardened in a similar fashion, as a hobby that grew and grew. My own gardening passion took off after I moved back to and purchased my family home; my mother previously dubbed the land AppleGate Farm, from which our name stems. Around the same time that I began to realize I needed to do something will all of my flowers, my younger brother proposed to my now sister-in-law. I offered to provide blooms and some arrangements for their wedding, and I fell in love with the process of choosing, planting, harvesting, and designing with my own blooms.
Our Process
Our process is adaptable to your individual needs. Following receipt of an inquiry form, we will contact you to set up an initial appointment to discuss your vision. We can work with you to explore blooms suited to our climate in Northeastern Vermont that meet your color and design goals, and to collaboratively identify a project timeline. We are available to continue to explore project ideas throughout all stages of the process, and are happy to provide updates as your blooms are started from seed through harvest. Applegate Florals is also able to help identify vase ware appropriate to your project, including providing some rental design elements.
